The Final Weeks of Summer!!

So, we have been so busy using every last minute of summer to our advantage! We began our final weeks going to the Orange County Fair on Thursday July 31st! We loved seeing the farm animals. The kids saw a 2 day old calve and piglets. We also saw an acrobat show and BMX bike riding. It was nice walking around and showing the kids crafts and other fair things!

On Friday-August 1st we went with our friends to Professor Penny Pickles house! The kids had a blast running around with their friends exploring all the cool exhibits!




Tuesday-August 5th we traveled to the Reuban H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa. It was there free admission day so it was alittle crowded but that didn't stop us from checking out everything we wanted. Austin enjoyed connecting circuits to make a lightbulb turn on. Autumn liked the bike wheel that turned a rope. My favorite was a video room where they recorded your movemnets for 5 seconds then replayed it fast, slow and backwards! Let's just say we were busting moves and laughing at ourselves!! We also walked around a big gorgeous coy pond, the kids really enjoyed the day!! Totally worth the drive and gas!





Wednesday-August 6th we spent the morning at Sky High with my sister Amber and nephews Trent and Tate! And that evening we attended Star Wars night at Lake Elsinore Storm Stadium. Our play gorup all earned free tickets from the summer reading program at the library. It was also free parking and kids eat free night! It was a blast hanging out with our friends!



And to top off our week my best friend since I was 7 years old is in town from New York! Chessie and I had fun hanging out and spending Friday running around doing girly things. We bought and watched Sister Hood of the Traveling Pants and then went to the movies and saw Traveling Pants 2 along with a few more ladies. I love hanging out with her. I just wish she lived closer so we could see each other more often. She is pregnant with her 3rd kid (a girl) and is 7 1/2 months along. It feels like yesterday we were playing barbies and house!

I can't believe summer is over, but I am ready to slow down. The kids start school tommorow. Austin is going into 1st grade and Autumn into Kindergarten. They are so excited!!
